Finn's Tale

The terrific and terrifying mysteries surround the destiny of a young boy whose love of poetry, battlefields and enchanted fish gets him far more than he bargained for.

A HEADY LORE Production

The theatrical debut of Finn's Tale was held at The Center For The Arts in Grass Valley, California, May 6th 2026.

Run Time: 60 Minutes

The moment Finn McCool was born he already had a host of enemies, eager to snuff the spark of life from his eyes. Yet who could kill a boy, especially if he was a poet?

Welcome to a world where poetry has the power to bring madness, death, wisdom, or all three at once. Of all who dared to learn the magical art of poetry, none is more famed than the divine Irish hero, Finn McCool. Yet all power comes with a price.

Finn's Tale pierces through the misty veil of the past and shines a new light upon Finn, the boy wonder who triumphs over a world set to destroy him. With the aid of ancestral spirits, Druid Aunties and his thumb of knowledge, Finn eventually discovers that where wisdom ends, mystery begins.

Live harp, original song, shadow puppet film animation, marionettes, and theatrical storytelling weave into a singular theatrical event, ancient in source, vivid in telling. A true multi-generational experience for all ages.
